Defendant EL/PL Solicitor – NQ to 2 Years PQE, Birmingham

About the role

Join a leading international law firm’s award‑winning insurance team in Birmingham as a Defendant EL/PL Solicitor. This position is suitable for newly qualified solicitors up to two years post‑qualification (PQE) who want to develop expertise in employer’s liability and public liability litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of employer’s liability and public liability matters, both litigated and pre‑litigated.
• Handle high‑value personal injury claims on behalf of insurers, corporate organisations and public sector clients.
• Work closely with senior partners and specialist insurance lawyers to deliver high‑quality legal advice.
• Develop technical expertise through mentoring and exposure to complex, high‑profile cases.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with NQ to 2 years PQE.
• Experience in defendant personal injury work gained during training or after qualification.
• Exposure to employer’s liability or public liability claims is advantageous.
• Motivation to specialise in EL/PL within a leading insurance litigation team.
