Defendant EL/PL Solicitor – NQ to 2 Years PQE

About the role

A leading international law firm is seeking a newly qualified to 2‑year PQE Defendant EL/PL Solicitor to join its market‑leading insurance team in Birmingham. You will manage a varied caseload of employer’s liability and public liability matters, handling both litigated and pre‑litigated claims while gaining exposure to complex, high‑value personal injury cases.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of EL/PL claims for insurers, corporate organisations and public sector clients.
• Handle both litigated and pre‑litigated matters, including high‑value personal injury cases.
• Work closely with experienced partners and insurance specialists to develop technical expertise.
• Provide high‑quality legal advice and support throughout the claim lifecycle.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with NQ to 2 years PQE.
• Defendant personal injury experience gained during training or post‑qualification.
• Exposure to EL/PL claims is advantageous, though broader defendant insurance litigation experience is also considered.
