Defendant Motor Solicitor – 3+ Years PQE

About the role

Join a leading national law firm’s insurance team in Manchester as a Defendant Motor Solicitor. You will manage a varied portfolio of motor and road‑traffic accident claims, ranging from fast‑track matters to complex litigated files, within a supportive and high‑quality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a litigated caseload of defendant RTA claims from inception to resolution.
• Draft pleadings, witness statements and other court documents.
• Advise insurer clients on liability, quantum and litigation strategy.
• Negotiate settlements and attend hearings as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues on high‑value, complex matters.
• Support business development initiatives and maintain client relationships.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience handling litigated RTA or motor claims.
• Strong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently.
• Excellent communication, client‑management and commercial awareness.
