About the role
Robert Bird Group is seeking a Senior Design Engineer – Structures to lead detailed structural design across a varied portfolio that includes commercial developments, mixed‑use schemes and data centres. You will own the design process, ensure alignment with project programmes and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead client liaison and support business development activities.
- Coordinate project delivery, manage resources and maintain design documentation.
- Develop engineering solutions and define the design philosophy for each project.
- Produce preliminary and detailed designs for both temporary and permanent works.
- Perform design checking and verification to ensure compliance with standards.
Required profile
- Senior Engineer level with proven experience in structural design.
- Ability to collaborate with architects, contractors and other engineering disciplines.
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and internal coordination.
