About the role
Robert Bird Group is seeking a Design Engineer – Structures to join its Birmingham office. The role involves taking ownership of detailed structural design for a variety of projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Lead client liaison and support business development activities.
- Coordinate project delivery, allocate resources, and manage design documentation.
- Develop engineering solutions and define design philosophy for structures.
- Produce preliminary and detailed designs for both temporary and permanent works.
- Perform design checking and ensure compliance with standards.
Required profile
- Senior Engineer level with experience in structural design.
- Proven ability to manage design projects and collaborate with other disciplines.
