About the role
We are seeking a talented Design Technology Teacher to join our forward‑thinking secondary school in High Wycombe, starting September 2026. The role involves teaching Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of delivering Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Design Technology lessons for KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 where applicable).
- Focus teaching on Resistant Materials and Product Design.
- Maintain high standards of teaching and learning in line with the academy’s expectations.
- Inspire and motivate students to develop a strong interest in design and technology.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a Design Technology teacher, either as an early‑career teacher (ECT) or an experienced practitioner.
- Ability to inspire motivated students and uphold the academy’s high standards of lesson quality.
- Willingness to work on a permanent, long‑term contract (MPS/UPS) and contribute to staff development.
Required skills
- Knowledge of Resistant Materials.
- Expertise in Product Design.
