DevOps Engineer – Cloud Automation (DV)

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing technology consultancy that delivers secure, modern software solutions to the UK Government and Defence sector. As a DevOps Engineer you will join a collaborative engineering team to design, build and support cloud infrastructure, automation and deployment platforms for high‑impact digital services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment platforms.
• Develop and manage automated CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable software delivery.
• Create and operate shared platform services for deployment, monitoring, observability and operational support.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to provision and manage resources across AWS, Azure and private‑cloud environments.
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects and delivery teams to improve automation, security and platform reliability.
• Monitor system health, performance and availability, identifying optimisation opportunities.
• Contribute to DevOps best practices, continuous improvement initiatives and engineering standards.

Required profile

• Commercial experience building, deploying and supporting secure production systems.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
• Experience working across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) in Agile (Scrum or Kanban) environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
