DevOps Engineer – Kafka, Kubernetes & Cloud

About the role

Hirexa Solutions UK is looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to design, build and operate streaming and cloud platforms for its clients. You will work with Kafka‑based data pipelines, container orchestration and multi‑cloud environments, ensuring high availability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and maintain Kafka clusters, including Connect, Schema Registry, Streams and ZooKeeper/KRaft.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible.
• Design, deploy and operate Kubernetes workloads, Helm charts and ArgoCD GitOps workflows.
• Integrate monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace and Confluent Control Centre.
• Support cloud deployments on AWS, Azure or GCP and ensure security, scaling and reliability.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Kafka architecture and operations.
• Proven DevOps background with automation, CI/CD and configuration management.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes, Helm and GitOps practices.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Familiarity with monitoring, alerting and SRE principles.
