Director, Clinical Pharmacology

About the role

RelationRx is seeking a Director of Clinical Pharmacology to lead quantitative pharmacology across its discovery and development portfolio. The role sits within the Drug Discovery team and operates in a hybrid setting at the London facility.

Key responsibilities

• Build and own the clinical pharmacology and pharmacometric capability, setting standards for excellence and championing innovative, data‑informed decisions.
• Act as the Clinical Pharmacology lead for multiple concurrent programmes, overseeing study design from IND‑enabling Phase 1 trials through Phase 2/3.
• Integrate non‑clinical and clinical data across Translational Safety, Pharmacology and Biomarkers to continuously improve predictive accuracy.
• Lead modelling and simulation activities, including PK/PD, DDI risk assessment, PBPK, population PK/PD and QSP approaches.
• Manage external CRO collaborations, ensuring delivery against timelines, budgets and project goals.

Required profile

• A PhD, PharmD or MD with specialization in DMPK, Pharmacometrics, in‑vivo/Clinical Pharmacology, or equivalent industry experience.
• Significant experience in quantitative clinical pharmacology across all development stages, with a strong understanding of Model‑Informed Drug Development.
• Proven ability to work in matrixed, interdisciplinary teams and communicate complex quantitative data to senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with pharmacometric software such as NONMEM, R, Monolix, WinNonlin, GastroPlus and SimCyp.
• Experience in PK/PD modelling, PBPK, population PK/PD, QSP and advanced data‑analytics or AI‑enabled approaches.
