Director of Corporate Tax

About the role

EY is seeking an experienced Director of Corporate Tax to join its Birmingham office. You will work with large multinational clients, helping them navigate complex tax environments and deliver high‑quality advisory, compliance and reporting services.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and maintain relationships with existing and new corporate tax clients.
• Lead the delivery of technically complex advisory, compliance and reporting engagements.
• Ensure exceptional client service and quality of work.
• Collaborate with other tax specialist teams across the firm.
• Develop internal and external networks to support business development.
• Supervise, coach and mentor junior staff.
• Lead team initiatives and drive successful project outcomes.

Required profile

• Significant experience in corporate tax, either from a practice or in‑house environment.
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven business development ability.
• Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
• Qualified as ACA, CA, ACCA, CTA, Tax Inspector, or equivalent tax specialist qualification.
