Director of Litigation Solicitor – Manchester

About the role

Duncan Lewis Solicitors is seeking a senior Litigation Solicitor to join its Manchester office as a Director. You will lead high‑value civil and commercial disputes, working closely with the Board to protect client interests and drive the firm’s litigation strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Report directly to the Board and ensure litigation performance targets are achieved.
• Lead and manage complex commercial, professional negligence, probate and general litigation matters for claimants and defendants.
• Oversee case strategy, court appearances and dispute resolution across a wide range of sectors.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing proactive and sensitive advice.
• Occasionally provide technical expertise on specialised matters as required.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with extensive experience in commercial and civil litigation.
• Proven track record of handling high‑value, complex cases in the High Court and Court of Appeal.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and experience reporting to senior management.
• Excellent client‑care skills and the capacity to understand sensitive client needs.
