Director of Product Management – SaaS Academic & Government Solutions

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Product Management with technical and commercial expertise to lead a SaaS product within our Academic and Government Solutions business. This senior leadership position is responsible for defining product strategy, driving execution, delivering sustainable growth, and ensuring exceptional customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute product strategies that drive customer value, business growth, and competitive advantage.
• Develop and communicate a compelling vision, roadmap, and investment strategy for the product portfolio.
• Lead product discovery, research, experimentation, and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Drive go‑to‑market planning and execution in partnership with commercial, marketing, and customer‑facing teams.
• Establish product performance metrics and KPIs, using insights to optimise outcomes.
• Lead cross‑functional teams through the full product lifecycle, from concept to market adoption.
• Evaluate build, buy, and partner opportunities to support strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Significant product management experience, including leadership responsibility in complex software or technology environments.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven success managing products or portfolios that delivered measurable growth and commercial results.
• Experience leading and developing product managers and building high‑performing teams.
• Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
