Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Primary Schools in Manchester

About the role

Aspire People is partnering with welcoming primary schools across South Manchester to place Early Career Teachers (ECT) in EYFS, KS1 or KS2 settings. This full‑time, onsite role offers a supportive environment where you can complete your ECT year, develop confidence and build a solid teaching foundation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning.
• Create an inclusive classroom where all pupils can succeed.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities, including SEND and EAL learners.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Assess progress and use feedback to support pupil development.
• Collaborate closely with experienced teachers and mentors for ongoing professional growth.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or on track to achieve QTS this academic year.
• Passion for primary education and a commitment to high‑quality teaching.
• Excellent communication and classroom management abilities.
• A reflective, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
