Engineering Manager – Provisioning

About the role

Thought Machine is building modern banking core and payments technology in the cloud. As an Engineering Manager for the Provisioning team you will lead a group of engineers to develop and extend our automated provisioning platform that powers over 200 Kubernetes clusters.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in technical discussions and design reviews for the provisioning platform.
• Adopt a data‑driven approach, measuring team impact directly from user feedback.
• Identify and solve internal teams’ challenges by delivering platform solutions.
• Shape the vision and strategy of the platform, aligning it with broader engineering and business goals.
• Lead engineering‑wide initiatives such as recruitment, process improvement and team development.

Required profile

• 2+ years of engineering management experience in platform teams.
• Hands‑on experience in cloud‑native environments using Kubernetes and AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Technical background in Go (Golang) or Python to drive decisions.
• Strong interpersonal skills for communication with internal users.
• Comfort with high responsibility and autonomy, adapting to evolving team needs.
