English Teacher – Teach ESL in China

About the role

TEFL UK is recruiting English teachers to deliver ESL lessons to children aged 3‑16 in China. The position is full‑time, with a minimum 12‑month commitment, and placements are available in Shanghai, Beijing and over 50 other Chinese cities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver dynamic lessons using an acclaimed multimedia curriculum.
• Create an immersive environment through classroom teaching and cultural activities.
• Monitor student progress and provide personalized feedback.
• Utilise all teaching materials and resources supplied by the company.
• Maintain a safe and engaging classroom atmosphere.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background verification.
• Willingness to live and work abroad for at least 12 months.
• TEFL certification (or readiness to obtain one with company support).

Required skills

• Lesson planning and delivery.
• Strong communication in English.
• Basic classroom management.
• Openness to learning Mandarin.
