Executive Pastry Chef – Jumeirah Carlton Tower

About the role

An opportunity has arisen for an Executive Pastry Chef to join us at Jumeirah Carlton Tower. The role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, leading the pastry team, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
• Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain productivity and team performance.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
• Manage stock levels, food rotation, and costs by reducing waste and maintaining effective inventory control.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships to secure quality ingredients and support kitchen operations.
• Conduct menu costing, manage budgets, and monitor expenses to achieve financial targets.

Required profile

• Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field (High School Diploma considered with relevant experience).
• Extensive culinary leadership experience within five‑star hotels or high‑end restaurants.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and HACCP standards.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, guests, suppliers, and business partners.
