About the Role
Join a multi-award-winning social housing provider located in the heart of Glasgow. As a Finance Assistant within our Business Services team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity and operational excellence of our diverse group, which includes social housing, property management, and commercial workspace sectors.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and timely purchase, sales, and nominal ledgers.
- Process invoices and payments while managing efficient reconciliation processes.
- Act as a key point of contact for resolving supplier and client financial queries.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations, proactively identifying and correcting discrepancies.
- Support monthly reporting, budgeting processes, and year-end account preparation.
- Assist with audit requirements by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
- Provide essential financial support to group subsidiaries and key stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- HND in Finance and Accounting or a recognized bookkeeping qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a financial role, specifically managing ledgers.
- Strong numerical aptitude with a deep understanding of financial processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high precision.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel preferred).
- Experience with professional accounting software and systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
