Family / Childcare Solicitor

About the role

This is a key position within a growing family law practice, offering high‑quality work and genuine responsibility. You will join a busy team with an existing caseload ready for you to manage from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and represent clients across the full spectrum of family childcare matters.
• Manage a varied caseload including child arrangements orders, contact disputes, parental responsibility issues, adoption proceedings, emergency applications, protection orders and public‑law childcare proceedings.
• Represent clients in court and tribunals, conducting advocacy where appropriate.
• Participate in business development activities and build client relationships.

Required profile

• Proactive, enthusiastic childcare lawyer with a strong reputation for client care and technical excellence.
• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in complex family childcare matters.
• Demonstrated advocacy experience and confidence in court representation.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail and ability to work well within a team.
