Family Law Paralegal – Birmingham

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Family Law Paralegal to join our Birmingham office. Working within a top‑tier, paperless law firm, you will support the Family Law department in delivering high‑quality, confidential advice to private individuals and high‑net‑worth clients.

Key responsibilities

• Report directly to the Department Director and provide proactive administrative and case‑management support.
• Assist solicitors with all stages of family and matrimonial matters, including divorce, domestic abuse, adoption, child abduction, prohibitive steps orders and specific issue orders.
• Prepare and file court documents, manage client correspondence and maintain accurate case files in a digital environment.
• Coordinate with clients to gather financial information, calculate maintenance, and support property and pension matters.
• Liaise with external parties such as courts, financial institutions and social services to ensure timely progress of cases.

Required profile

• Professional, proactive approach with strong client‑care skills.
• Sensitive and sympathetic understanding of clients’ personal circumstances.
• Relevant paralegal qualification or equivalent experience in family law.
