Family Solicitor – 2+ PQE – Liverpool

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to join our growing team in Liverpool. You will manage a varied caseload from instruction through to conclusion, providing high‑quality legal advice to both legally aided and privately funded clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of family law matters, including divorce, financial remedy, child arrangements and domestic abuse cases.
• Advise clients on legal aid and private matters, ensuring clear, practical guidance throughout each case.
• Draft legal documents, correspondence and court applications.
• Attend court hearings to support counsel and, when appropriate, undertake your own advocacy.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with legal aid and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and build strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or experienced Family Law Paralegal with a minimum of 2 years’ family law experience.
• Strong knowledge of family law procedures and legislation, including legal aid regulations.
• Excellent communication, organisational and case‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team environment.
