Family Solicitor – Birmingham

About the role

Our client, a top‑tier law firm recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, is seeking two experienced Family Solicitors to join their Birmingham office. You will work within a highly regarded Family & Children department, providing specialist advice and representation across a wide range of family law matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of family law matters, including divorce, financial disputes, child abduction, adoption and injunctions.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior solicitors, trainee solicitors and caseworkers.
• Supervise and mentor team members to ensure high‑quality service and continuity for clients.
• Contribute to business development and marketing activities to grow the department’s client base.
• Assist with the delivery of training and professional development programmes.

Required profile

• Clean, valid Practising Certificate at the time of application.
• Significant experience in family law, preferably with high‑net‑worth clients.
• Proven ability to supervise and develop junior legal staff.
• Strong client‑care focus and proactive, professional approach.
• Interest in business development and marketing within a legal context.

Required skills

• Expertise in family and matrimonial law, including complex financial and international matters.
• Ability to provide clear, strategic advice and courtroom advocacy.
• Leadership and team‑management capabilities.
