Field Deployment Engineer

About the role

As a Field Deployment Engineer you will deploy, integrate and support Archangel Autonomy’s AI‑driven UAV systems in demanding real‑world environments, ensuring seamless performance for customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site and remote first‑line support for product installation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Support assembly, integration and testing of UAV platforms both in‑lab and in the field.
• Create and maintain SOPs, user manuals, training material and field activity records.
• Collaborate with software and product development teams to resolve technical issues and optimise deployments.
• Travel 25‑50% of the time within the UK and internationally to conduct flight‑test readiness activities.

Required profile

• 1–2 years experience with Uncrewed Aerial Vehicle (UAV) systems, including build, integration and test.
• Hands‑on experience as part of a flight‑test team, including ground and flight test activities.
• Practical knowledge of flight controllers, sensors, autopilot systems and payload integration.
• Familiarity with ArduPilot and/or PX4 flight control systems.
• Ability to travel 25‑50% and hold a valid UK driving licence and security clearance.
