Field Sales Executive – Gas Cylinders

About the role

Join an established LPG and cylinder gas supplier as a Field Sales Executive based in Kings Norton, Birmingham. You will travel across the West Midlands to develop new business and nurture existing customer relationships, promoting a range of propane and butane cylinders.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within target markets.
• Generate leads through prospecting, networking, referrals and field‑based activities.
• Arrange and attend meetings with prospective commercial customers.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate terms and close sales.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to account activation.
• Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and provide regular performance updates.
• Support local marketing initiatives and monitor competitor activity.

Required profile

• Previous field sales experience in the gas, oil, fuel or energy sector.
• Knowledge of propane, butane, LPG or commercial cylinder gas products.
• Proven ability to generate leads, win new clients and close deals.
• Strong prospecting, negotiation and relationship‑management capabilities.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently across a geographical territory.
• Full UK driving licence.

What we offer

• Basic salary of approximately £30,000 per year.
• Commission structure with OTE of £35,000–£38,000.
