Field Technical Support Engineer – UK (Remote)

About the role

Formlabs is seeking a Field Technical Support Engineer to serve customers across the UK & Ireland. Based remotely, you will travel extensively to install, train, and repair 3D printing systems, ensuring customers can fully leverage the technology.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to unpack, install, commission, calibrate, and demonstrate new 3D printers.
• Conduct on‑site training sessions covering operation, software use, and basic maintenance.
• Provide rapid, on‑site break‑fix support and perform preventative maintenance visits within warranty windows.
• Diagnose electromechanical issues, aiming for single‑visit resolutions to minimize downtime.
• Manage travel logistics, expense reporting, and maintain detailed records in Salesforce.

Required profile

• Based in London, Manchester or Dublin (preferred for hub connectivity).
• Willingness to be on the road 80%+ of the time; overtime eligible.
• Strong technical background in electromechanical/hardware systems.
• Fluent English communication (C1‑C2) and ability to teach technical concepts.
• Valid driver’s licence (category B).
