Financial Accountant – Hybrid – West Midlands

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing market‑leading business in the West Midlands, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join a high‑performing finance team. The role will involve preparing monthly management packs, supporting statutory reporting and ensuring robust financial controls during a period of rapid expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management and reporting packs for senior leadership.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end accounting activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain balance‑sheet integrity through regular reconciliations and control testing.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and support the annual audit process.
• Produce financial analysis and reports to aid business decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities as required.
• Collaborate with finance colleagues and wider business stakeholders.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase reporting efficiency.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Strong experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Proven ability to prepare monthly reporting packs for senior stakeholders.
• Good understanding of statutory accounts and audit processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
