First Aid Trainer

About the role

We are seeking three enthusiastic First Aid Trainers to join West Midlands Police on a 12‑month temporary contract. You will design and deliver engaging first‑aid and health‑and‑safety training for police staff, helping to raise standards across the force.

Key responsibilities

• Create and deliver learning programmes aligned with College of Policing outcomes.
• Guide learners, provide coaching, and develop personalised learning plans.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to keep content current and relevant.
• Review and update training materials on a regular basis.
• Promote the organisation’s Code of Ethics and Health & Safety policies.
• Deliver sessions flexibly, including evenings and weekends when required.

Required profile

• Recognised training or teaching qualification, or extensive experience in training delivery and design.
• Willingness to complete the Police Training Roles Learning & Development Programme.
• Understanding of current policing challenges, especially around efficiency and diversity.
