Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

Artificial Labs Ltd is building next‑generation technology for the specialty (re)insurance market. As a Forward Deployed Engineer you will work closely with brokers and carriers to translate their business needs into technical solutions, delivering proof‑of‑value pilots that showcase the power of our platform.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse prospective partners’ business requirements and convert them into technical solutions using our domain‑specific functional language, Brossa.
• Codify, configure and deliver formal specifications for insurance products across lines such as marine, aviation, and political violence.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product and Commercial teams to design solutions that align with client strategic goals.
• Develop deep expertise in Artificial’s product suite to provide strategic guidance and recommendations.
• Demonstrate product value to internal stakeholders and client decision‑makers through pilots and proof‑of‑value projects.

Required profile

• Strong programming background combined with a keen interest in the insurance/insurtech space.
• Personable and able to build trusted relationships with clients.
• Collaborative mindset, comfortable working across cross‑functional teams.
• Open to all experience levels; we welcome junior to senior engineers.

Required skills

• Brossa (domain‑specific spreadsheet‑like functional programming language).
• Programming / software development experience.
