FP&A Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join our finance team in Birmingham. This permanent, hybrid role will allow you to influence business performance through insightful analysis, robust planning and strong business partnering.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles.
• Prepare accurate monthly management reports with performance analysis and commentary.
• Produce detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior‑year results.
• Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions and scenario planning.
• Provide commercially relevant insights to senior management and act as a trusted finance business partner.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate actions.
• Maintain key performance indicators and business performance dashboards.
• Support the preparation of Board and executive reporting materials.
• Improve the quality, accuracy and efficiency of planning and reporting processes.
• Manage, coach and develop members of the FP&A team where applicable.

Required profile

• Recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Significant experience in financial planning, analysis or commercial finance.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial‑modelling capabilities.
• Proven ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate clear conclusions.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with senior stakeholders and non‑finance teams.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business performance drivers.
