General Kitchen Help – Café (Seasonal)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic General Kitchen Help to join our café team inside Gardenworks’ garden centre. This seasonal, part‑time role works Thursday to Saturday, supporting the kitchen and dining area during our busy breakfast and lunch service.

Key responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots and pans following health‑safety standards.
• Buss tables and keep the dining area clean and organized.
• Assist with product restocking, rotation and basic food‑prep area upkeep.
• Maintain a tidy patio, kitchen equipment and workstations, adhering to sanitation and hygiene guidelines.

Required profile

• Previous kitchen or food‑service experience preferred.
• Ability to work quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
• Calm under pressure and able to handle new challenges.
• Available to work weekends and Mondays as needed.

Required skills

• Dishwashing and basic kitchen cleaning techniques.
• Table bussing and customer area maintenance.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation protocols.
