Graduate Psychology SEN Support Roles in Schools

About the role
Launch your career in psychology, education, or mental health by supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in mainstream primary and secondary schools across Dorset. You will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to help children with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 or small‑group support to pupils.
- Support emotional regulation and behaviour strategies.
- Help pupils engage with learning in the classroom.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
- Track and report progress.
Required profile
- A degree in Psychology (or related field).
- Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy and resilience.
- Relevant experience (e.g., care, tutoring, mentoring) is desirable but not essential.
