Head of Business Technology – Automation & AI

About the role

We are looking for a forward‑thinking Head of Business Technology to drive a step‑change in automation, AI and data‑driven solutions across the business. Reporting to the Director of Technology, you will shape strategy, build capability and deliver high‑impact solutions that improve efficiency and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a company‑wide automation and AI strategy aligned with business goals.
• Identify high‑value automation opportunities across Finance, HR, Operations and Business Development.
• Establish and scale an automation capability, including tooling, standards and delivery frameworks.
• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of automation projects from discovery through deployment and optimisation.
• Partner with senior leaders to translate challenges into automation opportunities and act as a trusted advisor.
• Oversee integration of core business systems with automation solutions and manage vendor relationships.
• Build and lead a multidisciplinary team of automation engineers, analysts and architects.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in automation, AI or digital transformation.
• Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate business value.
• Track record of building high‑performing technical teams.
• Strategic mindset combined with hands‑on delivery capability.
