Head of Clinical Services – Maternity Cover

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Fertifa’s fast‑growing clinical team as Head of Clinical Services on a maternity‑cover basis. You will lead the virtual clinic, ensure clinical excellence, patient safety and operational efficiency across all pathways, and help build a robust, scalable clinical system.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver best‑in‑class clinical care by overseeing the end‑to‑end patient journey from triage to follow‑up.
• Define and enforce clinical guardrails and scopes of practice for the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide guidance on complex cases and support clinical decision‑making.
• Manage team performance using data‑driven metrics and drive service development.
• Lead regular 1‑to‑1s, appraisals and performance reviews to foster accountability and growth.
• Optimise internal tools such as the Fertifa App and Semble for efficient scaling.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding and induction of new clinical staff.
• Build strategic relationships with UK partners and diagnostic providers.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product and Marketing to deliver clinical insights and education.
• Ensure accurate, GDPR‑compliant documentation and maintain ISO and other certifications.

Required profile

• Registered healthcare professional with at least 5 years of leadership experience in clinical operations.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, conduct performance reviews and handle high‑pressure situations.
• Broad understanding of reproductive health, fertility, menopause, neurodiversity and related pathways.
• Knowledge of UK healthcare legislation, ISO and CQC standards.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and patient‑centred care.

Required skills

• Patient management software (Semble or equivalent).
• Fertifa App and other digital health platforms.
• Microsoft Office suite and data‑analysis tools.
