Head of Commercial

About the role

The Head of Commercial will lead the commercial strategy for a specialist healthcare products and clinical services business. This senior position is responsible for driving growth across existing and new markets, supporting contract retention, tender success and sustainable profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial elements of the strategic development plan.
• Analyse market and financial data to identify new product and service opportunities.
• Lead tender support activities, including scope definition, pricing strategy and key themes.
• Negotiate post‑award contracts to ensure alignment with commercial goals.
• Monitor contract performance, pricing, discounts and extension opportunities.
• Implement profitability improvement initiatives across product use and service delivery.
• Prepare business, growth and marketing plans for products and services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior commercial leader in a healthcare or related environment.
• Track record of shaping commercial strategy and delivering sustainable growth.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret market trends and financial data.
• Experience in tender management and contract negotiation.
