About the role

The firm is seeking a Head of Commercial Property to lead its established department in the Midlands. This senior solicitor will inherit a loyal client base, manage a high‑value caseload, and shape the strategic direction of the team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee acquisitions and disposals of commercial property.
• Manage landlord and tenant matters, including lease negotiations and renewals.
• Lead development and regeneration projects.
• Handle property finance and refinancing transactions.
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and support staff.
• Drive business development and strengthen existing client relationships.
• Contribute to the department’s growth strategy.

Required profile

• Qualified Commercial Property Solicitor with significant experience.
• Proven ability to manage complex transactions and client relationships.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is advantageous.
• Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach to legal advice.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
