Head of Operations – High‑Growth Start‑Up

About the role

Join a fast‑growing start‑up as Head of Operations and take ownership of the operational engine, ensuring rapid, efficient and profitable scaling. You will work closely with the founder and leadership team to build the infrastructure, systems and processes needed for the next phase of growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations, establishing structure, accountability and pace.
• Build scalable systems and processes to support rapid growth.
• Manage suppliers, purchasing, logistics and external partners.
• Improve stock planning, forecasting and operational efficiency.
• Oversee customer and service operations.
• Create reporting and commercial visibility, monitoring costs, margins and performance.
• Identify problems and implement practical solutions, introducing automation, technology and AI where beneficial.
• Develop and grow the operational team while working closely with the founder to reduce firefighting.

• Commercially sharp, comfortable with numbers and highly organised.
• Enjoys solving problems, improving processes and working hands‑on in detail.
• Can think strategically while executing effectively in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
• Confident in challenging the status‑quo and eager to grow with the business.

What we offer

• Basic salary up to £80,000 per year.
• 15 % annual performance bonus.
• Potential long‑term incentive/equity after one year, subject to performance and approval.
