Head of School – Specialist SEN/SEMH School

About the role
The Trust is seeking an experienced Head of School to lead a specialist secondary setting focused on SEN, SEMH and complex learning difficulties. You will guide the behaviour team, collaborate with therapists and parents, and ensure high‑quality outcomes for pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH and related needs.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop the school’s behaviour team.
- Support staff in meeting the individual needs of pupils with a range of SEN and SEMH profiles.
- Work closely with therapists, support staff and families to design and implement effective interventions.
- Apply a variety of strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Monitor pupil progress, maintain accurate achievement records and report outcomes.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or NPQ in SEN.
- Extensive leadership experience within SEND and inclusion settings.
- Fair but firm approach to school management.
- Understanding of the strategic expectations of a Head of School role.

- Permanent contract starting in September.
- Salary range £48,000 – £52,000 per annum.
- Location in Tameside/Wythenshave, Manchester.
