Head of Science – Environmental (Hybrid, London)

Ready to lead scientific innovation in climate solutions and influence senior strategy? The Head of Science will own scientific direction for a fast‑growing organisation focused on large‑scale environmental impact, guiding senior specialists and aligning science with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Guide senior specialists and ensure technical outputs meet high standards.
• Oversee modelling approaches, refine methodologies and validate scientific results.
• Align science delivery with commercial strategy and business objectives.
• Act as the primary scientific spokesperson, engaging with stakeholders, investors and partners.
• Bridge technical delivery and commercial strategy to ensure credible, deployable solutions.
• Collaborate across product, operations and leadership teams.

Required profile

• Strong background in geoscience, soil science, hydrology or a related discipline.
• Proven experience applying scientific work in commercial environments.
• Demonstrated leadership of senior technical teams.
• Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to varied stakeholders.
