Head of Talent Acquisition

About the role

We are looking for a strategic, hands‑on Head of Talent Acquisition to own how Carwow attracts, hires and builds the teams that will drive our rapid growth. This senior leadership role will shape the talent acquisition function, partner with senior stakeholders and embed DEI and employer branding into every hire.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end workforce and capability planning, translating headcount needs into talent acquisition strategy and budget.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, acting as trusted advisor on hiring strategy and org design.
• Lead senior and executive searches, ensuring top‑tier talent is attracted and hired.
• Raise the calibre of hires through structured interview processes, scorecards and quality‑of‑hire tracking.
• Develop talent intelligence capability to map critical skill pools ahead of demand.
• Lead, coach and scale a high‑performing talent acquisition team.
• Integrate AI tools across sourcing, assessment and productivity, and own employer brand and candidate experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a talent acquisition function in a fast‑paced, high‑growth scale‑up.
• Track record of building and developing high‑performing talent teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leadership.
• Data‑driven mindset with experience building recruitment dashboards.
• Expert knowledge of AI tools applied to talent acquisition.
• Hands‑on experience implementing DEI strategies in hiring.
• Experience delivering senior, business‑critical or executive searches.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AI‑driven recruitment tools.
• Experience using Ashby talent acquisition platform.
