Head of Technology Resilience & Product Operations

About the role

This senior position leads the Technology Resilience and Product Operations function for a global financial institution. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will shape the resilience strategy, protect service stability and ensure regulatory confidence across a multi‑million‑pound platform.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Technology Resilience and Production Operations strategy, covering Incident, Problem, Event and Change Management.
• Build and govern an international Centre of Excellence, delivering MI dashboards, KPI reporting and executive risk reporting.
• Design and maintain the resilience framework, including Business Impact Analysis, Disaster Recovery exercises and Business Continuity Plans.
• Lead major incident response, post‑mortems and root‑cause analysis to reduce repeat incidents.
• Own the Change Advisory Board and release orchestration, ensuring risk‑assessed, compliant changes.
• Manage budget, licensing, vendor relationships and a team of ~25 professionals.
• Interpret regulatory requirements (e.g., DORA) and translate them into operational controls.

Required profile

• Proven experience setting enterprise‑wide resilience strategy in a regulated financial services environment.
• Strong track record leading Incident, Problem, Event and Change Management functions, including Priority 1 outage handling.
• Experience managing audits, regulatory reviews and resilience testing with senior stakeholder influence.
• Ability to develop and embed a risk‑aware culture across large, distributed teams.
