Health and Safety Management System Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Health and Safety Management System Lead to design, digitalise and embed our ISO45001 framework across educational and residential care settings. The role is home‑based and will involve UK‑wide travel to support our schools and homes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and standardise health and safety policies tailored to care and learning environments.
• Lead the digital transformation of health and safety processes, moving from paper to centralised digital platforms.
• Review, update and align policies, procedures, risk assessments and guidance documentation with our software systems.
• Research and create new procedures where risks or gaps are identified.
• Design and deliver engaging health and safety training and resources.
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings to assess effectiveness and gather feedback.

Required profile

• Background in education, care or a similar people‑focused sector.
• Experience in policy writing, digital transformation and ISO45001 implementation.
• Ability to influence culture change and empower staff.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO45001 standards.
• Experience with digital health‑and‑safety platforms.
• Proficiency in drafting clear, practical policies and risk assessments.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term 12‑month contract with a salary of £36,000‑£44,000 per year.
