Health & Safety Governance Manager – UK & Ireland

About the role

The Health & Safety Governance Manager will lead operational health, safety and location security compliance for Bosch's real‑estate portfolio across the UK and Ireland. Reporting to Global Real Estate, the role combines strategic planning with hands‑on oversight to ensure a safe, productive and sustainable workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive health, safety and environmental policies in line with legal and corporate guidelines.
• Conduct risk assessments, organise safety training and monitor compliance through site inspections and detailed reporting.
• Lead investigations of incidents, advise on fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise and occupational diseases.
• Support all UK locations with internal and external audits and drive the operational security strategy across the portfolio.

Required profile

• Proven experience in safety management within a blue‑chip environment and senior leadership responsibilities.
• Minimum Level 5 HSE qualification or equivalent, with broad legal knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, able to influence stakeholders and build a UK‑wide network of HSE partners.

Required skills

• Knowledge of RRFA 2010, MHSAWA 1999, DA 2010, PUWER, LOLER 98 and Asbestos 2012 regulations.
• Understanding of fire protection systems and safety technologies.
