Health & Social Care Lecturer – Temporary Teaching Role

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Health & Social Care Lecturers for temporary assignments with established Further Education providers in Greater Manchester. The role offers flexibility while allowing you to make a tangible impact on learners studying a range of health and social care programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Health & Social Care lessons across multiple levels.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate teaching records in line with college policies.
• Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
• Guide learners on current legislation, safeguarding and person‑centred care.
• Contribute to student achievement, retention and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Health & Social Care, Nursing, Social Work, Public Health or a related field.
• Teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
• Experience teaching Health & Social Care in FE, HE, secondary or adult learning settings.
• Strong classroom management, communication skills and a passion for the subject.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Industry experience in a health or social care setting is desirable.
