HGV Class 1 Driver – Nights

About the role

Booker Group is seeking experienced Class 1 HGV drivers to join its Transport Team on the night shift. You will be responsible for delivering stock safely to independent retailer stores across the South East, often working in adverse weather and handling manual loading and unloading.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver stock to multiple retailer locations during night hours.
• Handball and manually load/unload goods at delivery points.
• Operate in varying weather conditions and adhere to safety standards.
• Follow routes that change daily and adapt to short‑notice schedule changes.
• Utilise CPC training and maintain compliance with driver regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service to store staff.

Required profile

• Valid Class 1 HGV licence.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Experience with multi‑drop deliveries; temperature‑controlled food deliveries are a plus.
• Physical capability to perform handballing and manual work.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and respond to short‑notice changes.
