HR Trainee – Part‑time (25 hrs/week)

About the role

IRIS Recruitment is seeking a motivated HR Trainee to join its Education HR Consultancy team on a part‑time basis (25.5 hours per week). This entry‑level position offers a solid foundation in HR administration within a supportive consultancy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Produce contracts of employment, offer letters and other HR documentation for education‑sector clients using standard templates.
• Review client information to ensure documentation aligns with agreed terms and conditions.
• Advise clients on contract clauses where appropriate and escalate complex queries to senior HR staff.
• Upload and manage HR documentation in line with service level agreements.
• Support the HR Consultancy Manager and Consultants in delivering an effective HR service.
• Assist with the development and continuous improvement of the Contracts & Document Management system.
• Collaborate with internal Payroll and VERA teams for shared client support.
• Contribute ideas to improve processes, service delivery and technology use.
• Maintain accurate records, ensure confidentiality and stay up‑to‑date with employment legislation.
• Provide general administrative support and undertake ad‑hoc duties as required.
