Immigration Level 2 Accredited Solicitor – Director

About the role

The Director will lead the Immigration practice, reporting directly to the Board and ensuring the department meets its performance targets. This senior position combines strategic oversight with hands‑on case work across business immigration, human rights, asylum and complex appeals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Immigration department’s business plan and growth strategy.
• Oversee all client matters, including high‑net‑worth individuals, Tier 1 visas, and legal‑aid cases.
• Lead a team of over 160 specialist immigration lawyers, providing mentorship and performance management.
• Represent the firm in high‑profile appeals up to the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.
• Maintain compliance with SRA regulations, Lexcel, Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001 standards.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with Level 2 accreditation in Immigration law.
• Extensive experience in complex immigration, asylum and human‑rights cases.
• Proven leadership experience within a large, multi‑disciplinary legal team.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage a high‑volume, high‑value practice.

Required skills

• Level 2 Immigration accreditation (SRA regulated).
• Expertise in UK immigration legislation, Tier 1 visas, asylum and human‑rights law.
• Experience handling appeals to the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.
