In-House Construction Solicitor – 18‑month Fixed‑Term

About the role
This 18‑month fixed‑term position offers a senior solicitor the chance to lead legal support for a major UK property and infrastructure organisation. Working hybrid, you will advise on complex construction, development and commercial matters across large‑scale, multi‑stakeholder projects.
Key responsibilities
- Provide commercially focused legal advice on construction, development and contractual issues.
- Draft, review and negotiate construction agreements, professional appointments and ancillary documentation.
- Support structuring and execution of complex development arrangements involving multiple parties.
- Lead negotiations with contractors, consultants and external counterparties.
- Ensure consistency and compliance across all project documentation.
- Advise on legal risk and regulatory developments affecting projects.
- Collaborate with internal commercial, technical and delivery teams.
- Liaise with external legal advisers as required.
Required profile
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with at least 6 years post‑qualification experience.
- Strong background in construction law, real estate development or related project‑based legal work.
- Proven ability to negotiate and draft complex commercial contracts.
- Excellent stakeholder management and a pragmatic, solutions‑focused approach.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, delivery‑focused environment.
