Intermediary Partnership Engagement Trainee – Finance

About the role

This permanent, full‑time trainee position combines work on a Mortgage and Insurance Helpdesk with duties in the Marketing department. You will split your week between three days supporting the helpdesk and two days creating member‑facing communications, with a hybrid work pattern (four days onsite, one day remote).

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound enquiries on mortgage and protection products, develop knowledge of lender and provider panels.
• Respond to member queries accurately, escalating complex cases when needed.
• Maintain the helpdesk inbox and telephone lines, ensuring service standards.
• Record all interactions in the CRM system and attend workshops/webinars to build market knowledge.
• Support creation of bulletins, newsletters, product updates and regulatory briefings.
• Draft and schedule social media content, ensuring brand tone and compliance.
• Write copy for the website, member portal and email campaigns.
• Assist in producing event materials, presentations, brochures and member guides.

Required profile

• Genuine interest in financial services and the mortgage intermediary market.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Comfortable speaking with clients and external stakeholders via phone and email.
• Organised, self‑motivated and able to manage time across two distinct functions.
• Collaborative team player who is curious, eager to learn and willing to ask questions.
