Java Software Engineer – Sports API Team

About the role

Join the Matchday Sports API team at Bally’s Intralot to build high‑performance online sportsbook APIs that power the Bally Bet experience. You will work on a cloud‑native platform built on AWS, delivering robust services that handle thousands of requests per second.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java‑based APIs using Spring Boot 3.x.
• Collaborate with UI, platform and data teams as well as third‑party data providers.
• Apply test‑driven development (TDD) and continuous delivery practices to ship code safely.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, pair programming and code reviews.
• Monitor performance and reliability using tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.

Required profile

• Strong interest in learning new technologies and staying up‑to‑date with industry trends.
• Effective collaborator who can plan work, solve problems and deliver features.
• Experience with agile methodologies and engineering best practices.
