Java Software Engineer – Sports API Team

About the role

Join the dynamic Matchday Sports API team at Bally’s Intralot and help build the high‑performance APIs that power the Bally Bet experience. You will work on robust, scalable services handling thousands of requests per second, using modern Java and cloud technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new product features, updates and capabilities for the Sportsbook platform.
• Write well‑documented, test‑driven code using TDD methodologies.
• Design and implement customer‑focused API solutions.
• Collaborate in an agile environment, pairing with teammates and participating in code reviews.
• Deliver code changes efficiently to production and monitor their performance.
• Communicate progress, raise risks early, and continuously improve tools and processes.

Required profile

• Keen to learn new technologies and stay up‑to‑date with industry trends.
• Strong collaborator who can plan work, solve problems and deliver features.
• Experience with agile methodologies and engineering best practices such as TDD, pairing, automation and continuous delivery.
