Junior Developer – Integration Solutions

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing practice in the Midlands, is seeking a Junior Developer to design and deliver integration solutions for a varied portfolio of customers. The role is primarily remote (about 95 %), with occasional client site visits, and offers the chance to work with modern iPaaS platforms and cloud/on‑premise environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and test integration flows across cloud and on‑premise systems using iPaaS tools, APIs and custom code.
• Build, configure and maintain Workato recipes, triggers, connectors and automation workflows.
• Write clean, maintainable Python or Ruby scripts for data transformation and custom connector development.
• Perform unit, integration and user‑acceptance testing, troubleshoot issues and support production deployments.
• Produce technical documentation such as configuration guides, runbooks and data‑mapping specifications.
• Participate in peer code reviews and technical design discussions.
• Identify technical risks early and propose practical mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in an integration‑focused development role.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, REST and SOAP APIs, webhooks and message‑based architectures.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
